Ciudad del Este es el tercer punto a visitar en este triangulo de Países fronterizos.
Dentro de sus atractivos se encuentra la represa de ITAIPU binacional, el salto Monday y los tour de compras que se realizan.
Ciudad del Este fue reconocida en el año 1996 como tercer centro comercial mundial despues de Maiai y Hong Kong.
Esta ciudad fue fundada en 1957 como presidente Stroessner en homenaje al ex presidente del país.
Pero luego de su primer cambio de gobierno en democracia el nombre fue adaptado y paso a llamarse Ciudad del Este.
Esta ciudad es la segunda más importante de Paraguay con 165000 habitantes.
Diariamente circulan alrededor de 60.000 mil personas provenientes del Brasil y Argentina que concurre a realizar sus compras en Ciudad del Este.
Para acceder a la ciudad se debe pasar por el puente de la amistad que une Foz con Ciudad del Este, si bien el trancito es dificultoso, desordenado y hay falencia en la seguridad. Las ofertas de productos bien valen la pena ya que están a precios libres de impuestos y muchas veces se encuentran productos rebajados hasta un 50% de su valor real.
